I grew up dreaming of becoming a pilot — my Uncle Bill, a Navy fighter pilot who flew in Korea and Vietnam, made sure of that. What took longer was believing it was possible for me. He passed when I was young, leaving behind a dream but no roadmap. For a long time, I assumed aviation wasn't for someone like me.

Turns out, I was wrong.

It took a long corporate career, a pandemic layoff, and plenty of desk-job burnout before I finally stopped waiting. Once I started, I didn't stop — certificates, ratings, endorsements, and a CFI certificate earned in 2026. By day I work at Jeppesen ForeFlight, bringing over 13 years of professional aviation industry experience and real depth in EFB training and IFR charting that most local instructors can't offer.

I'm also still very much a student myself. I'm actively pursuing tailwheel and backcountry flying, with aerobatics on the horizon. I believe you never really arrive as a pilot — you just keep adding chapters. That perspective shapes everything about how I teach.
